This 64 page, square, perfect bound book is printed on a soft, matte paper. It features photo documentation of NO PROMISES, drawings, material lists, writing by Justine Kablack and writing by me. This book serves as a more in-depth exhibition guide. Many thanks to Jess Lanham, claudia hermano, B Tadeo, and Emma Ressel for their help designing, photographing, scanning, and editing. The book was printed by Starline Printing in Albuquerque, NM.

In the introduction, I write about my obsession with the mnemonic technique, the memory palace:

The memory palace is a practice that locates abstract information within a physical routine. The one remembering chooses a space they know well, often a previous home or a daily commute to “walk” through. They store information within the locations or objects throughout their path, returning to use these visual and spatial cues to retrieve the information. This practice speaks to how one’s habits generate vast spatial memories. For me, the initial intention of remembering information gets overshadowed by the building of the palace. Ultimately, the point is not to preserve all of the details; the point is to practice new ways of finding them. 

If this exhibition is a representation of the information retrieved, this book is a walk through the memory palace.
